Profile
Graduated from Osaka University School of Medicine, Graduated from Harvard University School of Public Health, Master's Program, Assistant Manager, Planning Division, Health Policy Bureau, Ministry of Health and Welfare. The Hospital Management Research Institute and the National Public Health Institute were integrated, and after the establishment of the National Institute of Health Sciences, he became the director of the Faculty of Policy Science and the chief professor of the Department of Medical Management, Japan Medical University. Currently, he is also a visiting researcher at the Institute of Science and Technology Policy, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, a visiting professor at Tokyo Dental College, a special researcher at the National Longevity Medical Research Center, and a technical researcher at the International Cooperation Agency. After graduating from Niigata University School of Medicine and completing the Graduate School of Medicine at Niigata University, worked as a surgeon at the National Yokohama Hospital. He studied abroad at the State University of New York while attending the hospital. After working as Director of Guidance Division, Kanto Shinetsu Regional Medical Bureau, Ministry of Health, Deputy Director of National Sanatorium Muramatsu Hospital, Director of Medical Policy Research Department of National Medical Hospital Management Institute, Deputy Director of National Nagano Hospital, Deputy Director of International Welfare University Mita Hospital, and Professor of Graduate School of the same university.
Currently, he is also a professor at the Graduate School of the International University of Health and Welfare, a visiting researcher at the Research Office of the House of Councilors Welfare and Labor Association, and a representative director of the Medical Welfare Research Institute Co., Ltd. His main works include the ideal way of medical cooperation with regional medical support hospitals, Jiho, 2007, work changes due to medical system reform, Paru Publishing, 2007, etc.

Currently, the director of the Research Information Center of the National Council of Social Welfare, the director of the Welfare and Medical Service Agency, the director of the Japanese Association of Certified Social Workers, the chair of the Council of Experts on Policy Evaluation (Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare), the president of the Elderly Housing Foundation, and the elderly. He also serves as a director of the Housing Promotion Organization, a director of the Paid Elderly Home Association, and a vice chairman of the National Examination Committee for Social Workers.
